Course Schedule

In today’s society, accounting is a useful and essential tool for understanding a company.
Accounting knowledge can also be used to evaluate and formulate strategies, and is expected to play an important role in future work.

The objective of this lecture is to provide actuaries with the minimum knowledge of financial accounting for actuarial work in an easy-to-understand manner, even for those who have never studied accounting before.
We hope that the course will motivate students to continue learning accounting even after passing the exam, by incorporating the know-how that the lecturer has gained through insurance accounting practice and his knowledge as an external auditor.
Specifically, we will analyze the question trends of past examinations and explain key areas in accordance with “Lectures on Financial Accounting” (Chuokeizai-sha, Inc.) by Professor Hisakatsu Sakurai, which is designated as the textbook for “Accounting” in the qualification examination guidelines.
