Lecture content

The following lecture schedule is subject to change.

Units 1 and 2: Analysis of data, aggregation, counting theory, permutations, combinations, probability, conditional probability.
Unit 3: Exponents, logarithms
Units 4 and 5: Arithmetic progression, geometric progression, sum and differences of sequences, calculation of sum of sequences using Σ, recurrence formula, mathematical induction method
Unit 6: Differentiation (Definition of Differentiation, Determination of Tangent Line, Increase / Decrease of Function, Differentiation of Composite Function, etc.)
Unit 7: Integration (Definition of integral, Napier number e, Substitute integral, Partial integral, Partial integral, etc.)
Unit 8: Basic university mathematics: Differential Integrals
(Partial differential, double integral, McLoughlin expansion, gamma function, beta function, etc.)
Unit 9: Basic university mathematics: Linear Algebra (Definition of a Matrix, Matrix Operations, Matrix Expressions, Inverse Matrices, etc.)
Unit 10: Questions solvable with high school mathematics, past questions of pension actuary society tests

The 1st/2nd, and 4th/5th units are not necessarily divided as indicated.

We will proceed with a ratio of lecture 50%, exercise 50% (planned).

The mathematics in the primary actuary examinations, as well as the mathematics of other actuarial subjects (mathematical life insurance, actuarial loss insolvency, pension actuarials), require a firm understanding of high school and basic university level mathematics.

In the beginner mathematics course, lectures will build a the foundation of high school and basic university math.  Even those who have not used mathematics in a while, or those in the humanities, will be able to review basic mathematics knowledge in a short period of time.

Moreover, even those who are not thinking about taking the actuary examination, but are simply interested in reviewing high school or basic university level math, are suitable for this course. Please feel free to take this opportunity to learn mathematics and apply it to your business needs

.We sincerely await your participation.

We will use the following text, so please prepare accordingly.

 · Chart formula Absolute master of mathematics 1 + A (Kenki Publishing)
(1st, 2nd)
· Chart formulas Absolute master of mathematics 2 + B (Numbers Laboratory Publishing)
(3rd – 7th)
· Basic mathematics to learn gently – Linear algebra · Differential integral (Kyoritsu Publishing)
(6 th – 9 th)
* I think that you can prepare two volumes for the sixth and the seventh.

The 10th basically does not use books.
